This is the fastest and the most convenience option, especially travellers who are tired from the flight or have a child.

OPTION 2: Public Bus or Public Van
2.1. Don Mueang Airport (DMK) to Trat 101 Hotel
From Don Mueang Airport to Trat Bus Terminal
This is the most cost-effective option. However, it is rarely to find direct public transportation from Don Mueang Airport to Trat Bus Terminal. Therefore, please refer to the airport’s provided information for timetables, operators, and fares.
From Ekkamai Bus Terminal to Trat Bus Terminal
In case the public bus and the public van at the Don Mueang Airport are fully booked, most of travelers head to Ekkamai Bus Terminal. Please note that Mochit Bus Terminal, located closer to Don Mueang Airport compared to Ekkamai Bus Terminal, is not accessible by train and offers fewer vehicles to Trat. This may lead to unpredictable arrival times, particularly during peak hours and inclement weather conditions.
1. From Don Mueang Airport (DMK), take the MRT Red Line Train located near the airport terminal building to Ekkamai Bus Terminal. There is a walking bridge that crosses over the road, connecting the airport terminal building and the MRT Red Line station. The journey takes 1 hours when going with luggage.
2. At Ekkamai Bus Terminal, purchase a ticket to Trat Bus Terminal. Fares are between 270 THB – 350 THB per passenger depending on operators. The journey takes 6-7 hours on the road.
From Trat Bus Terminal to Trat 101 Hotel
Take a A Songthaew to Trat 101 Hotel. The fare is between 80 THB – 120 THB for a vehicle with 2 passengers. It takes only 10-15 minutes to arrive at the hotel.
A Songthaew is a mini truck with two bench seats in the back and a canopy on top. It does no have air conditioning. This vehicle is the main public transportation in Trat.
2.2. Trat 101 Hotel to Don Mueang Airport (DMK)
From Trat 101 Hotel to Trat Bus Terminal
Take a Songthaew from Trat 101 Hotel to Trat Bus Terminal. Fare is 80 THB for 2 passengers with luggage. The recommended departure time from the hotel is 7:10h. The Songthaew ride to Trat Bus Terminal takes approximately 20-30 minutes. You will have enough time to purchase tickets for the 8:00h departure from Trat. Please let us know your preferred pick-up time, and we will make arrangements accordingly.

From Trat Bus Terminal to Don Mueang Airport (DMK)
1. At Trat Bus Terminal, there are vehicles offer service directly from Trat Bus Terminal to Don Mueang Airport, however, if you cannot find a ticket at a specific time, please consider purchasing tickets to Bangkok for other locations where you can access trains, such as Suvarnabhumi Airport with the Airport Rail Link and Ekkamai Bus Terminal with the BTS Sky Train. By doing this, it will be easier for you to reach Don Mueang Airport.
2. While some buses or vans drop passengers at Suvarnabhumi Airport too, most of them terminate at Ekkamai Bus Terminal or Mochit Bus Terminal. Therefore, if you need to be dropped off at Suvarnabhumi Airport to access to Don Mueang Airport by train called Airport Rail Link, please inform the staff AND THE DRIVER clearly that you need to go to Suvarnabhumi Airport.
3. Some buses or vans might drop you at the Airport Rail Link, Ladkrabang Station, due to congestion at the Suvarnabhumi Airport. From there, you can obtain Airport Rail Link tickets to Don Mueagn Airport. The journey takes approximately 60 minutes – 1 hour.
Timetable and Tickets
While there are ticket booths around the hotel, the best option is to purchase tickets directly at Trat Bus Terminal because Timetable, operators, and fares are adjusted periodically.
Heading to Bangkok on Friday, Sunday, and Long weekend
Due to heavy traffic in Bangkok starting after 2:00 p.m., we recommend leaving Trat early in the morning to avoid congestion. Please note that tickets on national holidays sell out a few weeks before departure. Please purchase tickets in advance and allow for extra time in case of traffic delays.
Food at Trat Bus Terminal
There is a small house with shops in the area selling Thai rice & noodle, snacks, and beverages. If you are using the minivan, you will have 1-2 stops at gas stations with large 7-11 supermarkets. You can find good bakeries and beverages there too.
