AIRPORT TRANSFERS: TRAT AIRPORT (TDX)
Trat Airport is located 35 kilometers away from town, with a 30-40 minute drive on the road. It is a small private airport with only 6-8 small flights a day, carrying 45-75 passengers per flight. Therefore, it does not have 24-hour public bus service. There are 3 options available. Only the private car and the private van require an advance booking. Trat 101 Hotel will pay cash to the vehicle companies in advance to secure transfers and display a name sign to the passenger in the arrival area. Fares include a driver, gasoline, toll road fees and, a space for luggage of a fair size. Meals not included. The passenger will pay the fare in cash back to Trat 101 Hotel upon arrival at the hotel.
For the Songthaew option, it operates like taxis at many airports. There is no advance booking. They are waiting outside the terminal on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Songthaew is a mini truck with two bench seats in the back and a canopy on top. It does no have air conditioning. This vehicle is the main public transportation in Trat.
